Pastor Of Adult Ministries: Discipleship Don's title is Pastor of Adult Ministries with an emphasis placed on Discipleship. In December of 2003, Don came to us from Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, CA, a congregation of over 10,000. Don's background and experience has him perfectly positioned to minister here in the Beach Cities. He's worked both sides of the aisle, having been on staff at Biola University as a department head and adjunct professor, as well as a staff member of Church Resource Ministries, Orange County, CA, where he trained and encouraged pastors and leaders in small group strategies and skills, church renewal, and church planting. Don is the author of "Stages of Faith" a Biblical map for growing your faith and guiding others which has a companion 'Spiritual Growth Profile' that identifies personal progress in a self-scoring questionnaire. This 14 week series is a central part of the path of adult spiritual growth here at Journey of Faith. All adults are encouraged to complete this small group experience. Don has developed a new "Foundations of Faith" series, which will target those who want to become members here at Journey of Faith. Foundations is also available to any adult who wants to explore eight biblical truths essential to the Christian faith. Dr. Willett received his Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Biola University in La Mirada, CA and holds both a Masters in Christian Education and Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary. His wife, Barbara is a graduate of Biola University and serves on the Board of the Network of Evangelical Women in Ministry.
