Pastor of College & Post-College Ministries

Since coming to know the Lord as an 18 year old living in the South Bay, Greg Piken has been passionate about seeing college students and young adults in his hometown recognize and experience God’s love. He prays that by understanding the truth of who they are in Christ, they will step out in faith and lead revolutionary lives for God at their campuses and jobs, in the inner city, and around the world.

Greg joined the Journey of Faith staff in December 2004, after a career as a singer-songwriter. He recorded two albums on Pyram-Axis Records (The Waking Hour in 2002, Driving Force in 2004) enjoying two Top-40 singles, and winning the awards for 95.9-The Fish’s Starfish Contest in 2005 and the LA Music Award for Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year in 2003. He is blessed with the opportunity to continue singing with the Journey worship team on Sunday mornings and released a worship album, Louder than Words, in 2007.

Greg earned his M.A. in Biblical & Theological Studies from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University, and his B.A. in English & Comparative Literature from UC Irvine.
