Mark Portis is Pastor Of Worship Arts here at Journey of Faith. Prior to accepting this new position, Mark served at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, California, for 11 years as worship leader, and most recently as Pastor of Worship and the Arts. He was the service designer and primary worship leader for both the Saturday Night contemporary service and a Sunday morning blended service. From 1990-1993, Mark served at Rolling Hills Covenant Church as the service designer and worship leader for their Saturday Night Services and also directed the youth choir. Mark graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in music and has been involved in music ministry for over 20 years. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Azusa Pacific University and sought after worship leader for conferences and retreats, including Mount Hermon and Forest Home Conference Centers. Mark is a talented pianist, vocalist, arranger and composer. Most importantly, he has a heart for worship and loves to help bring others into God’s presence through his sensitive and passionate worship leadership. Mark loves spending time with his family – bike riding, roller-blading, playing tennis, watching movies or just hanging out. He and his wife, Linda, along with their 3 boys - Kevin, John and Michael currently reside in Hermosa Beach, CA. For more information please contact:
