Administrative Assistant to Student Ministries and Electronic Communications

Maryn comes to us all the way from Mountain Lake, Minnesota where she grew up in church, was active in sports, drama, and music in high school.  She especially loved spending time with her family, friends and Buddy (her Beagle).

She went to Bethel University in Saint Paul, MN where she studied Social Work and Psychology.  She was a Resident Assistant, involved in Student Activities, and sang in the College Choir.
 
After graduation, Maryn decided it was time for another adventure in life, so she moved to Manhattan Beach, CA where she was an Au Pair for two young children, Nora and Teddy.
 
After being a live-in nanny for almost a year, Maryn decided she wanted to work with the high school group at Journey of Faith.  In the summer of 2007, she interned for Student Ministries and was privileged to experience first-hand the joys of Bass Lake, Tuesday’s at the beach, The L.A. Experience and Hume Lake Camp!
 
After her internship Maryn began working full-time at Journey as the Administrative Assistant for Adult Ministries.  She is now the assistant for Student Ministries and Electronic Communication/Web.

Maryn’s passion is giving glory to Christ by building relationships with students, loving all groups of people, and singing.  She enjoys being able to support the Pastors and leaders in Student Ministries so that each young person at Journey of Faith experiences joy in Christ and love for others!
