Student Ministries Worship Leader

Nate Carpenter grew up in Covina, California and attended Covina Assembly of God for most of his childhood, as his parents were the Worship Pastors.

After graduating from High School, Nate attended Azusa Pacific University and majored in Music. While in college, he worked for three years as a Worship Intern at Covina Assembly.  While interning, Nate had the opportunity to lead his worship team at many different camps and conventions. Because of that exposure, many opportunities opened up for him to lead worship in other places.

In the middle of his time at APU, God opened up a great opportunity for him to be the Director of Worship at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Fountain Valley, CA. With the acceptance of that position, he decided to change schools because of location. Nate is currently in his final semester at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA and is graduating with a degree in Communications. He is also a Worship Leader for Vanguard Chapels.

Nate’s true passion is sports, but he found that God’s plan for him was to lead and bless people through song. Nate is very excited to be part of Journey of Faith and to see where God wants to take the Student Ministries and the church as a whole.
