Pastor Of Community Life Formerly our Student Ministry Pastor from 2003 – 2006, Shawn now brings his excitement, teaching expertise and ministry experience to adults. His deep spiritual passions are seen as he leads people to totally surrender their lives to Jesus: and no one does that alone. We experience total surrender in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and other Christians. As the Community Life Pastor, Shawn focuses on connecting disconnected people within our church so that an attitude of total surrender permeates our entire church. He works closely with Pastor Bill, who brings people into the church, and Pastor Don, who creates spiritual learning environments. With 11 years of student ministry experience, Shawn knows how to create, innovate and stir the hearts of people. Leading worship, teaching, training spiritual leaders and evangelism are some of the specific ways he expresses his creativity. He ministered in Texas, Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida before making the South Bay his home. He lives in Hermosa Beach with his family of 5: Cassie, his wonderful wife and his 3 children Aidan, Allie and Simon. Shawn received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University.
