The Community Counseling Center was founded by Wayne Limm, Psy.D. It is comprised of a group of Christian mental health providers who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Unlike secular therapists, the Christian Counseling Center accepts the client's belief in Christ as real, and works with the client to achieve wholeness in mind, body, and spirit. In addition to counseling services, the Center provides the community with a variety of workshops and free lectures on topics as: marriage enrichment, parenting, stress reduction and self-esteem improvement. New Hope Recovery, a six week workshop for adult children of dysfunctional families, is also offered as a healing ministry by the Center. During his years practicing psychology, Dr. Limm has created diverse experiences, including work in prison populations and with the terminally ill. Dr. Limm earned a Doctorate in Psychology from Pepperdine University and completed his internship at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group Department of Psychiatry in Downey. He has clinical expertise in: substance/alcohol abuse, depression, anxiety disorders, adoption, child/adolescent therapy, marital therapy and family therapy. Dr. Limm was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Southern California. He earned a bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California. His acceptance of Jesus Christ led him to pursue God's call to help those in emotional pain, and strengthened his interest in helping the Christian community. Presently, Dr. Limm maintains a practice as a licensed Psychologist in Manhattan Beach. His practice engages in helping individuals heal from the damaging effects of growing up in a dysfunctional family. Dr. Limm holds memberships in the American Psychological Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Downloads |
