Beginning January 6th, we will begin a journey through the Book of Genesis that will take most of the Sundays in 2008 to complete. We will look at…
- The creation of the universe
- The formation of life on earth
- The beginning of humanity
- How sin entered the world
- The story of Noah and the ark
- The implications of the Tower of Babel
- The life of Abraham and the beginnings of the Jewish people
- The early covenants of God and how they relate to the Christian today
- Joseph’s life as a model of faithfulness
Forty four messages have been devoted to this year long study and even then, we realize that we will not be able to answer every question that you may have. This is why, for 2008, we are offering a special e-mail blast for all who are interested that will answer specific question that may come to mind following one of my sermons. Questions like…
- Can you find the Trinity in Genesis?
- What happened to the dinosaurs?
- Is the earth young or really old?
- Did the different races come from the Tower of Babel incident?
- Why did God allow the Fall?
- What do you do with the “Big bang?”
Our hope is to both enlighten and provide an apologetic for common questions people may be asked when studying this sometimes complicated and hard to understand book.
This Sunday, you will be asked to sign up for this e-mail during each of our services. All we will need is your email address and every Sunday we will forward to you additional insights, perspectives and teaching points from the book of beginnings…the Book of Genesis.
